Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COADs) bring volunteers together from across the community to increase communication and coordination to reduce the impact of disasters. Anyone interested in setting up a COAD in Indiana is encouraged to contact:

Several counties have or are part of a Long-Term Recovery Committee. Many of those counties will look at switching to a COAD.
